What it does
The China wine market is an opportunity of roughly AUD $800m–$1.2bn for Australian premium producers. Wine quality is not the barrier. The gap is in how marketing assets are perceived by the importers and buyers deciding on them in market.
Suadela evaluates that gap. It scores how effectively a brochure, tasting note, sales sheet or trade advertisement communicates with the people who decide on it in market. It achieves this through four categories, weighted by the order a reader encounters them: Colour, Typography, Layout and Cultural Integration. The result is a score, a tier, and notes for improvement you can act on.
How it works
Upload your asset. Suadela analyses it in seconds against a research framework built on Chinese consumer psychology, colour semiotics and the Mianzi/Lian dynamics that govern how Western brands are perceived in market.
Translation, not localisation. Suadela evaluates how clearly your brand identity already communicates to a Chinese reader, not how to make your asset look Chinese. Australian origin is an asset; the tool evaluates how it is conveyed.
Same asset, same score, every time.
What happens to your asset
Your file is analysed and then deleted. We do not store the uploaded asset, and we do not use it for any other purpose. Your result is anonymous to us. The score and observations are kept in a form not linked to you or to the original file.
You do not need an account. If you would like to see how any changes you make to an asset shift the result, you have the option to add your brand name at upload.
Why it's free
The Australian wine industry has had a hard run, and China is one of the real opportunities to change the industry's trajectory. Many producers have just been back to market. Astraeus Labs built Suadela to give Australian brands a sharper read of how their materials land in front of Chinese buyers. With so few resources to spare on marketing at this critical time, we are offering this technology for free to Australian wine brands.
The methodology and the engine are owned by Astraeus Labs. The value to a producer is in using the results to build capability on what works in China.
Who built it
Astraeus Labs is an Australian technology consultancy. Suadela is built on a research framework synthesising published work in Chinese consumer behaviour, colour semiotics and cross-cultural marketing.
The methodology document is available on request.
